13th Floor Haunted House
We can’t list the best haunted houses in Denver without leading off with 13th Floor, which has been named one of the scariest haunted houses in Colorado multiple years in a row. This year’s themes include Frostbite, The Dollmaker, and Bad Blood. Frostbite involves a cryogenics lab that had a breakthrough in reanimating the dead. Dollmaker is about the abandoned house of a dollmaker and his collection of Victorian dolls inhabited by his spirit. Bad Blood is a feud between vampires and werewolves and the carnage that ensues. All three themes are included with the ticket price.

The Frightmare Compound
Since 1983, The Frightmare Compound has terrified those who dare to brave the darkness to discover the unthinkable horrors that await. The compound is rumored to sit on swampland that was filled with remains buried under unholy grounds where the barn now stands. The founder of The Frightmare Compound was obsessed with his haunting work and rumored to be buried somewhere on the property grounds. It’s said that he can still be found roaming the compound, looking for souls to bring with him into the afterlife. Come ready to test your fears and jump at the slightest sound.

Reaper’s Hollow Cemetery at Fright Acres
Fright Acres is Colorado’s largest outdoor haunted attraction, consisting of four completely different haunts linked together for over a half-mile trek through a ghoulish cornfield and terrifying woods. Those who dare to enter the dilapidated shack and hike back to Reapers Hollow Cemetery in the old woods may never come back. There’s no telling what horrors will follow you in the dark. There have been many gruesome tales about the unsettled souls that roam the cemetery.

Haunted Field of Screams
Riverdale Road is known as the most haunted road in Colorado. With stories of roadside accidents and burnings, locals have reported evil beings roaming the 11-mile road looking for their next victim. The Haunted Field of Screams: A Ride to the Riverdale Gates of Hell is an extended single haunt experience that includes weaving through giant corn stalks, encountering multiple haunted houses, and surviving the Riverdale Gates of Hell. On this road in the middle of nowhere, evil is watching and waiting to terrorize. Be cautious of the rustling in the corn.

Terror in the Corn
Here’s the horrifying tale of Terror in the Corn located on Anderson Farm. It’s the former home of twisted twins with a lust for torturing unsuspecting strangers that stayed at their hotel. Now the property is filled with the souls of those who weren’t fortunate enough to escape. The twins are waiting to play their twisted game with you. Do you think you can survive? The experience starts by dropping you off in the middle of a dark and sinister corn maze. Those who escape the corn maze are welcomed into a haunted ghost town where nightmarish creators will find you at every turn.

During the day, the Fritzler Corn Maze is a destination for family-friendly fun. But after dark, the corn maze turns into a field of fright, not for the faint of heart. Scream Acres utilizes an arsenal of twisted minds, macabre make-up artists, and committed actors to deliver a haunt experience unlike any other. Cling tightly to your spouse or friend as you navigate the terrifying maze. If you find your way out, grab a beer at the beer garden and lighten the mood by playing yard games. You’ll need it to forget the nightmarish experience of the corn maze.
