Take the family on a nature adventure south of Franktown, Colorado. This state park is nicely located a short 20-minute drive from the Outlets of Castle Rock. Enjoy several hiking trail options rating mild to moderate and up to a 4-mile hike, or combine the trails for a longer, more scenic adventure. Pets are allowed on most trails and must be on a leash. Visit the natural amphitheater, rest along the flowing Cherry Creek river, and explore a historic homestead and dam.

In & Out vs Shake Shack

Obviously In & Out is on our list! Many debates between west coast In & Out vs east coast Shake Shack. We will leave that one up for you to decide, but nonetheless, it’s located by The Outlets at Castle Rock, so get yourselves a burger!

The Backyard

Grab your friends, enjoy a brew, dance to a live band, and laugh the night away at this backyard vibe restaurant. Slowing down is something we all need, and this restaurant provides just that! Gather around the table with family and friends, backyard seating with live music and cafe lights, drink a brew, and eat delicious American Grille dishes. The Backyard wouldn’t be complete without our favorite fur babies, so bring them along and even treat them to their very own ice cream treat.

Fish & Company

Start your weekend off with fish & chips! Fish & Company has only been around since 2020 and is already a local favorite. With fresh fish delivered daily, enjoy coastal and continental seafood from all over the world.

Learn more about their quality fish and hours of operations at their website.

La Loma

La Loma was started by a local family in a small brick house! Mixing Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican styles, this Mexican kitchen became a Denver staple. Expanding south and into our favorite neighborhood, La Loma is the place to gather. Enjoy their cozy and warm environment, watching cooks make their fresh tortillas while sipping on their signature margaritas.

“Sizzling, delicious fajitas that make your mouth water just thinking about them.”
