We all know the “new year, new you” cliche that gets shouted through social media every single January. Every new year comes a new beginning and goal setting is key. Better health decisions, more workouts, and now that affirmation of just being yourself, only more confident you and self-care driven acts. This year, let’s put aside the cliche and instead invest in experiences.
Adventuring in Colorado by exploring new hiking and camping destinations, visiting new breweries that you have never been to but have always said you wanted to try, and dining at family-owned restaurants that have been around for generations. New Year, New Adventure is our motto for 2022.
Join us for our January new year, new adventure challenge on Instagram. Every Monday in the month of January we will post a new adventure. Take a picture of said experience, post it on your own Instagram page, tag us @thecoloradostore, and use the hashtag #adventureonco. Each week has a new winner with a different reward!

Week 1: Wake up to watch the sunrise. Bonus: go somewhere to watch the sunrise.
Week 2: Visit a new to you brewery: a brewery that you have never been to, but have always wanted to check out, or randomly select one on the map while out and about!
Week 3: Go for a winter hike. Be careful with this one! Make sure you check the weather and road conditions before you go. Be prepared with lots of layers and decide if micro-spikes or snowshoes are necessary! Read our Six Winter Essentials and our 10 tips for your Winter Adventure to be extra prepared!
Week 4: Dine at a family-owned restaurant.
Week 5: Last but not least, go snowshoeing! If you do not own snowshoes, we suggest renting them REI (must be a member to rent before February). Christy Sports Ski and Snowboard have many locations near Denver and in mountain towns.
